How to change the License Level of your BricsCAD?
Before we proceed, here is a quick primer on the license levels in BricsCAD.
There are five levels of licenses in BricsCAD – Lite, Pro, Mechanical, BIM and Ultimate.
When you install the trial version of BricsCAD (for the first time on your computer), it will run in the highest Ultimate mode by default.
To change the license level, you must use the SETLICENSELEVEL command from the command line.

The SETLICENSELEVEL command is command-line driven and first asks the product for which this applies. Type BricsCAD here and press ENTER.
The next prompt asks you to specify the desired license level. Choose the same by typing the first few letters of that license level.
Upon restart of BricsCAD, it operates in the level that was set earlier.
In this article, we have mentioned the title “How to Change Trial License levels”, but this can be done even on commercial licenses.
However, you cannot set the license level of commercial licenses higher than what they were originally purchased for.
This means that a Pro commercial license can be set to Lite or Pro, while a BIM license can be set to Lite, Pro or BIM.
An Ultimate license (highest) can be set in any of the modes.
