{"id":3781,"date":"2024-06-04T09:40:56","date_gmt":"2024-06-04T09:40:56","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/bricscadpower.com\/?p=3781"},"modified":"2024-06-07T04:05:27","modified_gmt":"2024-06-07T04:05:27","slug":"how-can-i-prevent-geotools-and-cadpower-from-loading-automatically-each-time-i-start-bricscad","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/thedesignsense.com\/bricscadpower\/how-can-i-prevent-geotools-and-cadpower-from-loading-automatically-each-time-i-start-bricscad\/","title":{"rendered":"How can I prevent CADPower from loading automatically each time I start BricsCAD?"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>If you want to manually control <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cadpower.in\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">CADPower,<\/a> you must first un-install it so that the automatic loader routine does not run.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>After that, you can download and install the ZIP builds of the software from these URL:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>CADPower (English) for BricsCAD-ZIP version: <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thedesignsense.com\/cadpower\/CADPower24_BricsCAD_EN.zip\">https:\/\/www.thedesignsense.com\/cadpower\/CADPower24_BricsCAD_EN.zip<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Then you set the path manually to the CADPower installed folder from within your BricsCAD (from Settings -> Program Options -> Files -> Support file search path).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If the path is set to the GeoTools (or CADPower) or both folders, it finds on_doc_load.lsp and starts GeoTools\/CADPower on starting BricsCAD. If the path is removed, it will not run.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This is one method to control the loading manually.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If you don\u2019t want to fiddle around with the path each time to load (or not load) GeoTools and CADPower, there is another way.<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter size-large\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"190\" src=\"https:\/\/thedesignsense.com\/bricscadpower\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/06\/cadpower_logo-1024x190.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-3946\" title=\"Geotools_cadpower_logos\" srcset=\"https:\/\/thedesignsense.com\/bricscadpower\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/06\/cadpower_logo-1024x190.png 1024w, https:\/\/thedesignsense.com\/bricscadpower\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/06\/cadpower_logo-300x56.png 300w, https:\/\/thedesignsense.com\/bricscadpower\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/06\/cadpower_logo-768x142.png 768w, https:\/\/thedesignsense.com\/bricscadpower\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/06\/cadpower_logo-600x111.png 600w, https:\/\/thedesignsense.com\/bricscadpower\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/06\/cadpower_logo.png 1500w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n<p>You must rename the on_doc_load.lsp (one each for GeoTools and CADPower) on your installation folders to a temp name, like on_doc_load.lso.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This will prevent the startup Lisp from running, since it cannot find it. You can then use the (load \u201cCP_LOAD\u201d) statement to manually load the loader stub. After this, you must run the CP_LOAD command to manually load CADPower.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Similarly, you can then use the (load \u201cGT_LOAD\u201d) statement to manually load the loader stub. After this, you must run the GT_LOAD command to manually load GeoTools.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Remember that the GeoTools and CADPower menus can still be loaded, without the software loaded. If you have the menu loaded, you can access the load commands from CADPower -&gt; More Options -&gt; Load CADPower and GeoTools -&gt; More Options -&gt; Load GeoTools.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The above example shows how you do it for the BricsCAD version of GeoTools and CADPower.
