Compute Summed Polyline Areas from Selected Layers: CP_LAYERAREA – CADPower Command

Summary The CP_LAYERAREA command is an essential tool for CAD professionals looking to efficiently analyze and manage the geometric properties of their drawings. With this command, users can quickly compute the total summed area and length of all polylines within selected layers, offering a comprehensive overview of their project’s spatial data. CADPower -> Polyline Tools -> Inquiry & Statistics -> Compute summed polyline areas from selected layers Key features include: The CP_LAYERAREA command simplifies the management of large and complex drawings by providing precise and actionable data, improving efficiency, and ensuring accurate documentation.

Compute detailed polyline statistics: CP_PL_STAT – CADPower Command

Summary The CP_PL_STAT command in CADPower provides a comprehensive set of polyline statistics, making it easier to analyze and document polyline details in your drawings. When using this command, you can: This command is useful for creating accurate polyline reports, with flexibility to export or visualize data within the drawing, making it highly beneficial for surveying, mapping, and other detailed CAD applications. More Details Below.. CADPower -> Polyline Tools -> Inquiry & Statistics -> Compute detailed polyline statistics The CP_PL_STAT command generates detailed statistics from a selected polyline. The statistics is reported in three different areas: 1. On the command line: 2. As a CAD Table 3. As CSV files whch can be opened in Excel

Reshape part of a polyline: CP_PARTRESHAPE – CADPower Command

Summary The CP_PARTRESHAPE command in CADPower enables you to re-shape or re-digitize a specific segment of a polyline. By selecting two points on the polyline, you can redefine the shape between them by specifying new point locations. The polyline is then updated with these newly digitized points, replacing the original points between the selected start and end. This command is ideal for refining or adjusting a section of a polyline without affecting its overall structure, providing flexibility for custom reshaping in detailed CAD work. CADPower -> Polyline Tools -> Part Editing -> Reshape part of a polyline

Rotate part of a polyline: CP_PARTROTATE – CADPower Command

Summary The CP_PARTROTATE command in CADPower allows you to rotate a selected portion of a polyline. By picking two points along the polyline, you can rotate all the segments between these points, with the first point serving as the base point for rotation. The polyline is updated with the new geometry while retaining its handle, Xdata, and other essential properties. Note: This command is ideal for precise, localized rotation of polyline segments while preserving the original polyline structure. CADPower -> Polyline Tools -> Part Editing -> Rotate part of a polyline

Mirror part of a polyline: CP_PARTMIRROR – CADPower Command

Summary The CP_PARTMIRROR command in CADPower allows you to mirror a specific portion of a polyline. After selecting two points along the polyline, the segments between them are flipped (mirrored) along the axis defined by these points. The original polyline is updated with the mirrored geometry, preserving its handle, Xdata and other properties. Note: This command is ideal for targeted mirroring of polyline segments while keeping the original polyline properties intact. CADPower -> Polyline Tools -> Part Editing -> Mirror part of a polyline

Stretch part of a polyline: CP_PARTSTRETCH – CADPower Command

Summary The CP_PARTSTRETCH command in CADPower lets you stretch a specific portion of a polyline. By selecting two points along the polyline, you can move the segments between these points to a new location, effectively stretching that part of the polyline. After the stretch is applied, a line is drawn to connect the stretched section with the remaining, unstretched parts of the polyline, preserving continuity. Note: This command is ideal for targeted adjustments to polyline geometry without affecting the entire shape. CADPower -> Polyline Tools -> Part Editing -> Stretch part of a polyline

Offset Part of a Polyline: CP_PARTOFFSET – CADPower Command

Summary The CP_PARTOFFSET command in CADPower allows you to offset a specific portion of a polyline. By selecting two points along the polyline, the segments between these points are offset using the standard AutoCAD OFFSET command. This is useful when you want to apply the offset to only part of the polyline rather than the entire shape. CADPower -> Polyline Tools -> Part Editing -> Offset part of a polyline Notes: This command offers precise control over offsetting selected parts of a polyline.

Copy and Move Part of a Polyline: CP_PARTCOPY – CADPower Command

Summary The CP_PARTCOPY command in CADPower allows you to copy and move a specific portion of a polyline. After selecting two points on the polyline, the segments between these points are copied, and a new polyline is created. You can then move this copied polyline to a new location within the drawing. CADPower -> Polyline Tools -> Part Editing -> Copy (and move) part of a polyline Note that this command cannot be used with polylines that have been curve-fitted using the Fit or Spline options. Additionally, if there are any arc segments within the selected portion, they will be replaced with straight line segments in the copied polyline. This tool is ideal for extracting and repositioning parts of polylines efficiently.

Extract part of a Polyline: CP_PARTEXTRACT – CADPower Command

Summary The CP_PARTEXTRACT command in CADPower allows you to extract a portion of a polyline by selecting two points along it. The segments between the two picked points will be extracted and a new polyline will be created on the current layer. This is especially helpful for isolating specific parts of a polyline for further editing or analysis. CADPower -> Polyline Tools -> Part Editing -> Extract part of polyline Note that this command does not work with polylines that have been curve-fitted using the Fit or Spline options. Additionally, any arc segments within the polyline will be replaced by straight line segments when the new polyline is created. This ensures precision when handling linear portions of complex polylines.

Tweak a Polyline Vertex: CP_TWEAKPOLY – CADPower Command

Summary The CP_TWEAKPOLY command in CADPower allows you to tweak or pinch out a new vertex from an existing polyline, providing a unique method for editing polylines. Unlike grip-editing, which only lets you move existing vertices. This command creates and pulls out a new vertex at the selected location, giving you more control over the polyline’s shape. CADPower-> Polyline-> Vertex Management-> Tweak a polyline vertex It’s especially useful when you need to adjust the geometry by adding a new point, without affecting the existing vertices, making it a precise and efficient tool for reshaping polylines.
