CADPower

Extract part of a Polyline: CP_PARTEXTRACT – CADPower Command

Summary

The CP_PARTEXTRACT command in CADPower allows you to extract a portion of a polyline by selecting two points along it. The segments between the two picked points will be extracted and a new polyline will be created on the current layer.

This is especially helpful for isolating specific parts of a polyline for further editing or analysis.

Note that this command does not work with polylines that have been curve-fitted using the Fit or Spline options. Additionally, any arc segments within the polyline will be replaced by straight line segments when the new polyline is created. This ensures precision when handling linear portions of complex polylines.
