We wish to inform our customers of a significant change in the licensing policy of GeoTools, post October 15, 2023.

GeoTools  will no longer be available as perpetual licenses, and will transition to a subscription (rental) model. There will be changes in the pricing and volume discounts as well.

The price of a single user license of GeoTools core  has been determined at EUR 139 per license per year

Any additional and optional modules like the Geological and Mining Supplement (for GeoTools) will be priced additionally at EUR 99 per year per license.

For purchases of 5-9 licenses, there will be a 5% discount, and for purchases of 10+ licenses, there will be a 10% discount applicable.

Other license structures like unlimited licenses will be discontinued.

The new structure is to make the pricing more realistic and easier to compute and process for us and for you as well.

Transition path for existing users

Existing paid users of perpetual licenses of GeoTools  can continue to use their perpetual licenses. In line with the current policy and procedures, we will continue to support them with license file replacements until they are within two versions behind the current version. This is approximately a 2-year support for license file replacement and computer-change requests from the last date of purchase.

Existing paid users of GeoTools  can continue to upgrade their perpetual licenses to the current version. However, the perpetual license pricing (both new and upgrades) will no longer be displayed on our website after October 15, 2023, and users are requested to contact us directly for pricing info.

(*) We do not wish to annoy any perpetual license fans

We deeply respect both schools of thoughts – users who prefer perpetual licenses and those who want subscription (rental) licenses. If you have a strong reason to want to own a perpetual license of GeoTools, please let us know. We can definitely offer you perpetual licenses as well. Contact us for the pricing for the same.

The international EUR sales of GeoTools and CADPower are handled by our sister concern business Coordinate Systems.
