Polyline Segment Editing in BricsCAD: Add Vertex, Delete Vertex, Convert to Arc!
Bengaluru, India
Polyline segment editing is often an important on-the-fly editing tasks for a CAD drafter.
The ability to add or delete a vertex or convert a straight line segment into an arc is often a frequently required drafting task for many a CAD designer. AutoCAD provides this tool as a native option in the default user-interface.
In BricsCAD, it only takes a small tweak to get this function working. And that is using our BricsCAD+ tools, which is part of CADPower software. And the best part is that this is a FREEWARE feature of CADPower, part of our A2B transition tools.
The segment editing function in AutoCAD 2018
And the equivalent function in BricsCAD (available in V19++)
So, the polyline segment editing function is EXACTLY equivalent in BricsCAD also.
Just remember to install the CADPower software and the BricsCAD+ CUI, which enables this function for you.
It is a seemingly simple function and has been made available via the context menu customization tools of BricsCAD.
Perhaps it is not in the native code of BricsCAD due to possible copyright issues, but nothing stops us from writing a small piece of customization to make this happen for you.
