The newest update of CADPower-GeoTools V 19.15 Moves to Design Senseat DesignSense

We are pleased to announce yet another milestone update of GeoTools & CADPower V 19.15 today.

One of the most popular generic add-on software utility for the AutoCAD and BricsCAD users, GeoTools & CADPower has been in the industry for about 19 years now, and we are pleased to announce to you that we now have a unified installation folder for GeoTools & CADPower.

Starting from V 19.15 onwards, ALL installations of GeoTools of CADPower will, by default, be installed in the C:/Program Files/DesignSense folder.

Until now, we have been having several builds, some which were installed into the Four Dimension Technologies folder, and the app-publisher name would be shown differently as Four Dimension Technologies or Coordinate Systems.

To eliminate the confusion, and also the fact that these software are now intellectual property of DesignSense Software Technologies Pvt. Ltd., we have decided to do away with multiple install folders and have a unified build, single install folder.

On your side, this may need some minor tweaks so help you to continue using our software without any interruptions.

When you install the new build, you may need to modify the Support Path in your AutoCAD or BricsCAD software to point to the new location.
You will also need to copy the license file (*.RGS) from the old installed location to the new location.

The above two steps are important to ensure that you are using the latest update.

Else, you will still be continuing to use the older versions of our software even after installing the new version.

What happens to our old web-sites?

www.4d-technologies.com and www.coordsys.com will continue to exist, and will continue to update with product info. They have been our recognized web sites and we do get a lot of traffic on these sites.

That is not going to change, at least not for the near term. But you can expect to see new and updated content on the DesignSense web-site as well.

More changes and Improvement in the offing

This is just the beginning of the changes. We are planning many more changes in the software in the coming months to create more value for the CAD user and to justify every single penny you spend on our software.

Demand loading for AutoCAD: One of the first things we are doing, and this will happen in the immediate next V 19.16 update is that the AutoCAD version will now have deman loading of GeoTools & CADPower. Until now, we have been using an obsolete utility called AcadInstall to allow the user to choose the AutoCAD profiles to work with.

This will be replaced with demand loading of the VLX and ARX, and the need to choose your AutoCAD version and setup will be removed.

Demand loading for BricsCAD: This is already in place for the BricsCAD Pro and Platinum versions. Because of technical reasons, we cannot implement the same for the Classic version.

Code Signed EXE: All the GeoTools & CADPower EXE installers are now code-signed and the publisher name is shown as DesignSense Software technologies Pvt. Ltd.

All EXE files moved to designsense.com domain: All the GeoTools & CADPower EXE files now reside on the www.thedesignsense.com web-site. This does not make any impact on the user per se but is just for your info.
