FREEWARE By-CADPower : New Home for the A2B Transition Tools

Bengaluru, India

One of the first things you look for when you switch from one CAD environment to another is if you have all the familiar tools that you need.

For a CAD user making the switch to BricsCAD, 99% of the familiar-interface is already in place, thanks to the high level of compatibility BricsCAD already provides.

There is still a small bunch of missing tools, probably because it is difficult for Bricsys to add them to the native code without causing copyright issues.

We have bridged that gap, that last mile of missing tools via our CADPower productivity software. CADPower has been used by a large number of BricsCAD users across the globe to ease their transition into BricsCAD.

By being able to provide the tools that are natively missing in BricsCAD (compared to AutoCAD), these have proven to be life-line for the first time (and veteran) BricsCAD users, to make them feel at home.

Talk of the familiar interface and we have made the familiar interface, even more familiar.

Until now, these tools were part of the mainstream CADPower user-interface and tucked up in several of the CADPower menus.

In version 18.12 of CADPower release yesterday, we have given these tools a new identity by creating a separate menu and toolbar captioned “FREEWARE-By-CADPower”.

As the name suggests, these tools NEVER expire in CADPower, which means you simply download a trial, install and start using it. You never need to buy these tools.

Download CADPower for BricsCAD now and see how thousands of BricsCAD users across the world are deriving an extra layer of comfort, productivity and speed by fast-tracking their transition to BricsCAD.

To give you some background about these FREEWARE tools, here are some links to ab earlier post on this subject:

What is not covered in the above post is one additional command EXTRIM which we added in V 18.11.

** New command added: EXTRIM (in CADPower for BricsCAD):

The EXTRIM command trims everything that lies outside a closed polygon. EXTRIM is a freeware command in CADPower.
