GeoTools-CADPower Embraces the Triumvurate of OSes: Now on Linux, Mac & Windows
Bengaluru, India
We are happy to announce today that our GeoTools & CADPower software are now available on all the 3 operating systems that BricsCAD runs on: Windows, Mac and Linux.
Late last year, we released the Mac version of GeoTools & CADPower and last week, we released the first working version on Linux.
As suggested by Bricsys, we recommend Linux Mint Cinnamon Desktop V17 or Quiana 17 for our products but it works just as good on many other Ubuntu flavors as well.
We do not have an installer (yet) for Linux. You will need the download the combined ZIP file here, or individual ones here: CADPower / GeoTools.
Simply extract the files to a folder with read-write and set the path Support File Search Path to the folder and you are ready to CADPower your BricsCAD on Linux, or manage your geographic maps and data using GeoTools.
Please be informed that we have had the opportunity to test it on a few of our internal systems only and at a couple of client locations
. I apologize in advance for an glitches you may encounter and request you to please inform me about the same so that we can fix it for you.
