BricsCAD Deutschland Partner Meeting 2019 at Kupferbergterassen Mainz
Bengaluru, India
Close on the heels of the immensely encouraging Australasia Bricsys conference, it was heartening and inspiring to see yet another bold partner-driven Bricsys meet in Germany in the quaint little town of Mainz, on the ouskirts of Frankfurt, Germany.
The partner meeting took place on the 7th and 9th of May, 2019 and it was at the electoral castle in Mainz – a very special venue.
Organized by Mervisoft, led by the effervescent Mr. Uwe Redmer & Dirk, this was one mini-regional conference with about 60 CAD professionals from the region in attendance.
Leading the Bricsys participation was Heidi Hewitt handling the technical presentations and demos, supported by Bricsys partners in Germany.
The focus of the product presentations was on Building Information Modelling (BIM). How a continuous workflow with Shape, BricsCAD® BIM and the platform for collaborative work, Bricsys 24/7, can look like was impressively demonstrated.
The use of the BricsCAD® BIM API for a solution for reinforcement design in reinforced concrete construction was demonstrated by the BricCAD® partner Artifex.
The author of the BricCAD® blog, Heidi Hewett, demonstrated numerous new features of the software and also gave first views on the version V20 which will be released in autumn.
In the final developer session new technologies within BricCAD® were shown.
The focus here is on the use of artificial intelligence, which can make work easier for the user in many areas by automating recurring tasks.
Torsten Moses concluded the lecture part of the event by presenting the latest innovations in the LISP development environment.
All in all, the participants of the partner meeting were highly satisfied.
In addition to the presentations, there were numerous opportunities for exchange between the partners and with representatives of Bricsys and MERViSOFT.
Heidi Hewitt & Uwe Redmer
The sessions was 60% German and 40% English, in line with the support for multi-lingual users in Germany and around the region.
Germany is one of the most successful markets for Bricsys and accounts for 15+ % of Bricsys worldwide revenue. Uwe Redmer tells me that he handles over 25+ resellers under Mervisoft.
The event started off with a Kupferberg sparkling wine cellar tour on May 7th with English and German narratives.
After the guided tour, it was dinner time together in the Fürst-von-Bismarck-Saal der Kupferberg Terrassen.
The management of Bricsys, as well as leading employees from the software development participated in the event.
On Wednesday, 08 May 2019, the Bricsys session started at 10 AM at the Spiegelsaal (1st Floor) and saw a number of presentations and thoughts on BricsCAD V19, BIM, Mechanical, Bricsys 24/7 as well as on the further development of BricsCAD.
As one feedback from a partner aptly sums up the ethos of the event:
“I would like to take this opportunity to thank you once again for the very successful partner meeting. As it was a home game for us, it enabled not only the veterans but also our new employees in development and support to get to know the competent team around Mervisoft and Bricsys. As in previous years, the meeting was perfectly organized on both days and included a compact variety of information. I would especially like to emphasize the warm family atmosphere that characterizes these events and is unparalleled in our times today.”
The sparkling wine tour sets the trend for a sparkling bubbly future ahead
